Train Simulator: InterCity Class 91 Loco Add-On Crack Cd

About This Content The flagship locomotive for the East Coast Main Line, the Class 91, speeds into Train Simulator in its original InterCity Swallow livery, complete with Mk4 coaches and Driving Van Trailer. The Class 91 was built as a development of the Advanced Passenger Train (APT) project, which was abandoned during the 1980s, and was introduced in 1988 with the overhead electrification of the East Coast Main Line; the first Class 91 to work a passenger service was on 3 March 1989 with a rake of Mk3 coaches and a converted Class 43 power car acting as a Driving Van Trailer (DVT).The locomotive’s body shells were built of an all-steel construction, and unusually were fitted with body mounted motors to reduce the unsprung mass and hence track wear at high speeds. Much of the engineering was derived from research and operational experience garnered during development of the APT.Given the auxiliary name of InterCity 225, a nod to their designed operating speed of 225 km/h (140mph), the Class 91 exclusively works flagship high speed passenger services on the East Coast Main Line between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh Waverley, leading a rake of nine Mk4 passenger coaches and a Mk4 DVT. Realistically, services only run at 125mph (201 km/h) due to the track infrastructure, but occasionally do reach their designed top speed to make up time. The Class 91 for Train Simulator is available in InterCity Swallow livery as carried between 1988 and 1996, and features two fully working driving cabs, complete with DRA, AWS and vigilance device reset, and cruise control. The Mk4 DVT also includes a fully driveable cab, giving complete push-pull capabilities to the train. A full rake of nine Mk4 coaches in accompanying InterCity Swallow livery replicate the full InterCity 225 service, complete with passenger view. Please note: the ‘blunt end’ cab of the Class 91 is accessible from the main Class 91 cab by pressing the left and right arrow keys. The locomotive is also Quick Drive compatible, giving you the freedom to drive the InterCity Class 91 on any Quick Drive enabled route for Train Simulator, such as those available through Steam. Also included are scenarios specifically for the East Coast Main Line: London-Peterborough route (available separately and required to play these scenarios).ScenariosThree scenarios for the East Coast Main Line: London-Peterborough route:Simple and Expert Controls Tutorial: Class 91On Time AlterationTroublesome Trip to StevenageMore scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. This DLC is by far the worst in Train Simulator I have ever played with. It is awful and a mockery to the train it is based on. Please save yourself the money and torture by not making the same mistake I made by buying this.First of all, the modelling is nice but the liveries included are awfully made. The EC livery (which was added AFTER the DLC was released) is too colourful and the IC livery is extremely washed out. Then you get the sounds, which are nothing like the real thing - and it gets worse. The Class 91 itself has ONE sound (the spirax valve) and often it just stops playing completely. Then there is total, complete silence. And finally, there's the biggest problem. This train is undriveable. The reverser in the cab does nothing and you cannot move it with the keyboard or controller. You HAVE to go into the large F4 HUD to move it. And then it only goes to 13%. The DSD also can't be turned off and the passenger view is bland.Don't buy it. Unless you plan to get the overpriced Armstrong Powerhouse pack for it. Then do it but don't play with it before you get the pack.. The DVD is so annoying, but with a Third Party Reskin, this is the real deal, and completes the missing gap of the ECMLS. We still need the Class 317 though, then this is a complete route. (Correct me if I am wrong.). What can I say, DTG have set the highest quality again. The Class 91 is a missing piece from the East Coast Main Line and with it's intercity livery, it looks like brand new out of the factory. The Class 91 unit is really powerful and the train accelarate at a good pace. The Mk4 carriages are really nice but a inproved passenger view is prefered as it's facing the cafe. One thing puts me off, the DSD (Driver Safety Device) always goes off every 90 seconds or so. If there was a feature to disable the DSD.The Class 91 has a lot of free reskins that are made by third party, like the Claus91, Virgin East Coast, East Coast, Flying Scotsman, GNER and bunch more. Pro - Lots of reskins - Detailed Cab- High SpeedCons- DSD (would be great if there was a disable feature). Very nice model from DTG, looks great inside and out and the textures are very nice. Only disapointment is that there is no cab modelled for the blunt end. Overall great model and I'd reccomend you get it!EDIT: It appears it does include a blunt end cab, I just didn't know how to get to it!. Its a very nice loco, one of my favorites both in game and real life.Well modeled with a good interior, however it's the refurbished cab and carriage view despite the loco being in IC livery, doesn't bother me that much though, and if you want it to fit in there's always re-skins available online. It would be better if you could disable the DSD, as its pretty annoying to watch your train in freecam only to have it emergency brake because you couldn't hear the alarm. Also there's a blind spot in the 91's window where the windscreen wiper doesn't reach, so its impossible to see signals from the driver's perspective if its raining, however this doesn't affect the DVT, so just fly south in the rain where possible xDVery nice addition to ECML line. Overall the Class 91 add-on looks and sounds good. It's a pity they weren't able to do one of the more up-to-date liveries so it could run along side the Class 365 that comes with the Kings Cross to Peterborough route. The driver vigilance system is a nice inclusion in terms of realism and it helps add to the challenge of scenarios or routes that require concentration, but it would be nice if there were a way to disable it for quick drive. The cab interior looks the part and has a cab light, instrument lights and even a light for the clipboard, but a problem I have encountered with the cab is that when it is raining and you are postioned in the driver seat you cannot see oncoming signal through the window die to the rain water. A simple way round this is simply to use the alternate view from the opposite side of the cab but this slightly detracts from the immersion of being the driver. The Class 91 has a cab at either end with one being the 'blunt end' which is usually facing the coaching stock but this add-on allows you to operate that cab which allows for much fun when making scenarios or playing on free-roam.. The model is quite nice. It looks detailed enough and is correct for the time period (pre-refurbishment). I think it is a shame it only comes in intercity livery, since all other stock is set in a different time period, but DTG has explained that this is due to licensing issues. The cab looks great (although it is the refurbished cab, which doesn't fit the intercity livery and unrefurbished exterior) and it is really nice that they managed to incorporate the blunt end cab. The position of the camera in cab and the windscreen wiper make it really difficult to see signals and read speed signs when it is raining. There is a passenger view, but the passenger compartment is, like the cab, the refurbished version. The feature list is quite complete. The more or less standerd features like DRA, DVD and speed set are included as well as some more uncommon features like ETS controls. Seems quite promising, but sadly DTG have seem to forgotten how to implement most features. The speed set doesn't actually get the unit up to the set speed and for some reason it resets to 0 every time you use the brakes. DVD reset and AWS acknowledge are mapped to the same button, which is a shame. The AWS sunflower is bugged. When the AWS alarms is acknowledged, the sunflower comes on only to turn off again a split second later. There are seperate controls for cab-, instrument- and clip board lights, but there are no seperate headlight settings for day and night running. I was pleasantly surprised with the sounds when I first put the reverser into the forward position. I immediately recognized the very distinct class 91 roar. However as soon as I set off that surprise turned into disappointment. There are no motor sounds an no bogie run sounds. Lack of these sounds removes any sense of speed and completely ruins immersion for me. After a while I noticed that the fan sounds I initially thought were excellent are actually bugged. You can hear two sets of fans coming on, but one fan sound only loops once.In conclusion I think the class 91 is a huge disappointment. I can't recommend it at full price and I only see use for it as AI and not as player consist.. if you're absolutely planning on buying this, either wait for a sale or buy the Class 91\/mk4 enhancement pack. Actually you should consider buying the pack regardless.for the price of 14\u20ac you get 1 repaint, yes only one repaint. Silent coaches and way too loud cooling fans. And a god awful DSD that makes exterior shots almost impossible unless you press Q constantly.do I recommend this? yea but only if you pick up the enhancement pack. That's the only reason I actually give this a positive review and not a negative one.
